Items with Periodicals

Items with Periodicals serve for sending newspapers, magazines and periodicals destined for an own promotion of a sender within the Slovak Republic.

• Periodicals – it contains one or more copies of the same title,
• Periodic catalogue – it contains a copy destined for an own promotion of a sender. Besides the copy of the sender, it can contain one more copy destined for a sale promotion of another person. Its weights shall not exceed 30 g.

Posting procedure back

Periodicals shall be registered in compliance with the Act No.167/2008 CoL. on Periodicals and Agency News Service as amended. Periodic catalogue and foreign periodicals shall be registered by means of a registration at Slovenská pošta.

1. The minimal periodicity of any title of periodicals or periodic catalogue shall be 2 x per year.
2. Periodicals shall be posted based on a permission (periodicals) or based on a written contract (Periodicals, Periodic catalogue) in which special conditions can be agreed. The contract can be concluded subject to a performance of a minimal posting per year by means of an account manager allotted.
3. Wrapping of items with periodicals shall be adequate to nature and weight of their contents and also to ways of collection, distribution and transit time.
4. Individual items can be posted also without wrapping, in such a case, a copy shall be secured against self-acting opening.
5. Items with periodicals up to 2 kg shall be posted in bundles and provided with bundling cards according to the Technical parameters – Sorting and bundling that is an integral part of the contract.
6. Periodicals containing more copies (so called „multi-pieced item“) for one point of delivery shall be wrapped adequately and in case of weight above 3 kg, also tightly fastened so that its contents could not unfasten during distribution. The bottom and upper sides of the item shall be protected against pollution or damage. Such an item shall be considered as non-standard and a special price shall be applied.
7. Mark the item with an address label comprising:
   1. your address and the indication „D+2“ (periodicals) or „D+4“ (periodic catalogue) in the left upper quarter,
   2. the note on a method of payment and a postcode with a name of an office of posting in the right upper quarter,
   3. an exact and full address of an addressee, with emphasizing of transport data (postcode and a name of an office of posting) in the right bottom quarter.
8. The minimal size of the address label shall be 70 x 35 mm and the minimal size of writing shall be 3 mm.
9. You can indicate the data of the address label on the copy directly or on its wrapping without any impact on their readability.
10. Post the items with periodicals together with the Book of Postage made by preprint where the post office shall confirm the acceptance and the price.
11. At posting items with periodicals, Slovenská pošta has a right to require an opening of an item to check an observance of sending conditions. Giving incorrect data (a number of copies, a nature of supplements, weight of copies) shall be considered as a breaking of conditions stipulated in the Permission issued and Slovenská pošta is entitled to ask of a mailer for a remedy; if it be to the contrary, it will not accept the items. At posting items with periodicals, on demand of Slovenská pošta, a mailer shall present a sample copy from each title posted.
